IMPROCEL WM

IMPROCEL® WM is a pellet containing amide waxes based on polyamines and fatty acids that are chemically bonded with binders and cellulose fibres. This pellet is designed for the dry modification of asphalt mixtures.

The asphalt mix can be produced at lower temperatures, in the region of 150-160°C and the mixture can be laid at lower temperatures. With the addition of IMPROCEL WM, the mixture can be laid at temperatures of 95-100°C. Due to the lower compaction temperature, the mixture reaches stability very quickly, thus allowing the use of traffic in a very short time. IMPROCEL® WM also improves adhesion, increases compaction and increases resistance to permanent deformations. The addition of IMPROCEL WM do not interfere with the frost resistance of the mixture. The main active ingredient contained in the pellets reduces binder viscosity and penetration, whilst increasing the softening point.

Use of the IMPROCEL® W

IMPROCEL® WM has a wide range of uses. Used in bituminous mixtures (AC, SMA, BBTM, PA, etc.) as well as in mastic asphalt (MA). It is best suited to high volume traffic roads and in addition to bus stops, railway stations, container terminals, roundabouts or airport areas.
